We are
a medical device manufacturing company located in Petaluma with an open
Marketing Internship - our company is GCX (www.gcx.com).
We
currently employ a SSU Senior, and look forward to the opportunity to
continuing our internship program with SSU.
The
internship pays $15/hour for 20 hours per week with required on-site
participation, i.e. no telecommuting.
The internship will begin May 12.

General
Summary:
The
Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting in the development of
messaging and marketing materials used in the GCX product sales cycle. You will work with the Marketing
Communication Manager to develop and create sales and marketing tools (product
collateral, presentations, customer success stories and web updates).
In
addition, you will work with the Marketing team to develop programs (PR,
advertising, tradeshow plans) and ensure that all marketing and sales tools
meet with corporate standards for tone and message. Your role is to assist with
on time delivery of all marketing efforts. Finally you will work with the Sales
teams to define and develop appropriate sales tools as required.
Principal
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible
for working with Marketing Communication Manager and Product
Management
to develop and distribute product positioning and messaging.
* Contributes to
development of general product positioning and messaging
* Follows product positioning and messaging
through marketing deliverables, PR, advertising, and tradeshows
* Works with Sales Managers and Product
Management to ensure marketing material is consistent with product position and
messaging
* Assists with the development of product
launch and other marketing deliverables
* Will assist with the organization,
development and delivering of product-related marketing to appropriate
audiences
Requirements/Desired
Knowledge/Skills:
* Working towards a Bachelors degree
in marketing, communications, advertising or related fields
* Proven individual contributor and
collaborator/team player
* Able to manage
multiple priorities effectively
* Excellent writing
skills required
* Good problem solver
* Some project
management skills desired
