UNITED WAY MARKETING INTERNSHIP
Description
United Way, the leading community impact organization in our community and United States, is offering a challenging internship in our Marketing Department. The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of marketing activities, including:
The marketing intern will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Communications Manager and other senior staff on a daily basis, offering substantial opportunities for professional development in addition to the expertise of working on specific projects. Interns will be assigned key development projects, which are included as capstone work.
This is a hands-on position offering the successful candidates front-line experience in the development of a growing marketing department for a leading non-profit organization making a real difference in the community.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will be junior, senior or
graduate students in a business, writing, or marketing degree program. You will
be highly creative, have excellent written communication skills, and be able to
work independently. You will enjoy contact with people, and be both willing and
able to make the case why United Way is the leading community impact
organization in our community. This is a chance to make an impact, as well as
an impression – the work you provide will directly influence the way in
which United Way of Sonoma-Mendocino-Lake represents itself in our community.
Training/Orientation
You will be provided
with a thoroughly introduction to United Way, including:

vision and goals
+Marketing plans and strategies
+Communications plan
+Donor/Investor model
+Community impact model and results
You will
work closely with senior staff and highly knowledgeable administrative personal
that will help you develop your own marketing skills and insight.
