The Tasting Room Management Certificate

The Tasting Room Management Certificate helps prepare you for more responsibility by taking courses in direct shipping, staffing, marketing, wine club management, data base management, sales, budgeting, and customer relationship management.

tasting_room_picture_lr.jpgThe Tasting Room Management Certificate requires the completion of (8) half day courses, which can be completed this semester or at your own pace. The fee is $150 per course.

Students wishing to complete the Certificate can choose any five elective courses but must complete these three core courses:

  • Introduction to Tasting Room Management
  • State Compliance for Direct Shipping
  • Building a Profitable Wine Club

These professional development courses are open to the public and may be taken individually or collectively. All courses are offered at the SSU campus.

  • Practical Vineyard Management. November 2nd , 1pm - 5pm
  • Selling Wine to Restaurants and Retailers. November 9th, 8am - 12pm
  • Current and Upcoming Winery Compliance Issues. November 9th, 1pm - 5pm
  • Revision your Customer Experience Management Program. November 16th, 8am - 12pm
  • Easy Ways to Successful Direct Marketing. November 16th, 1pm - 5pm
  • The Expert's Secrets to Selling Wine Grapes. November 30th. 8am - 12pm
  • Intro to Tasting Room Management. November 30th, 1pm - 5pm
  • Wine Marketing Basics: What Every Winery Should Know. December 7th, 8am - 12pm
  • Creating the Foundation to Grow Wine Direct Sales. December 7th, 1pm - 5pm
  • PR: A Practical Guide to the Best Marketing Option for Small Wineries. December 14th, 8am - 12pm
  • Social Media and Wine Marketing. December 14th, 1pm - 5pm
