Wine Business Start-Up Strategies (Wine Entrepreneurship)
The business of wine is evolving rapidly and the rules of success in the wine industry are being redefined. Economic uncertainty, the influx of corporate players and changes in technology are shaping a new competitive landscape that will require strategic thinking and innovation to navigate. Wine Entrepreneurship will take a systematic look at the different components of a successful wine brand and assist you in creating a plan for a profitable business in this new environment.
Over 10 weeks participants in the seminar will be exposed to key aspects of the wine business including the regulatory climate for making and selling wine, financial frameworks to develop a vineyard and winery or create a virtual brand and different models for profitability. We will debate the merits of a direct to consumer business in comparison to one that works exclusively with distribution and examine the differences in production, marketing, packaging and sales for each. You will hear from industry leaders and veterans who will describe their experiences and lessons learned. By the end of the seminar every participant will have the tools and frameworks to critically evaluate the competitive landscape and make decisions on a course of action.
