Wine Business Strategy an Executive Residential CertificateApril 2015
Executive leadership from established wine companies will attend in teams with the purpose of collaborating with wine business subject matter experts to formulate a comprehensive five year plan.
Led by Dr. Anisya Fritz, the intensive, residential session will include presentations
from industry leaders and in-depth analysis of strategic business management
theories and practices from which the attending teams will have the
opportunity to design their next five-year business plan. Focusing on the separate components of building a business plan the program will cover the fundamental strategic planning skills that are critical to the success of small and mid-sized winery brands. The program will culminate with the presentation of each group's business plan, and ongoing mentoring and follow-up with an industry professional as attendees work through the operationalization and implementation of their final plan within their company.
The program curriculum is built on the lessons learned over three years of executive education at the Wine Business Institute and on the content generated from the first international conference of wine business faculty from 13 countries.
During its debut year, the certificate program will be restricted to 8 wineries, each allowed to bring up to 3 people. Teams attending must be comprised of Upper Management or Executive tier employees of the company to qualify. Preferably a team will include 3 members from any of the following roles: General Manager, CEO or owner, head of accounting/finance, national or direct to consumer sales, and/or Marketing.
