Academic Interests:
Dr. Flynn’s dissertation focused on friendship characteristics and quality during adolescence and early adulthood. Her current projects include: (1) identity formation on facebook.com, (2) bathroom-wall writing, (3) the influence of gender and extracurricular activity participation on self-esteem, (4) adolescent social networks, (5) social norms in and out of the bedroom, and (6) friendship across the life course.
