Bleeding Heart Listener

The drums start beating, the guitars start strumming, the voices start singing and crowd goes crazy.
The Bleed the Dream tour passed through the halls of Sonoma State University Wed. Sept. 14.
Kicking off their tour on Sept. 13 in Bakersfield, they made their second out of 33 stops right here on campus.
Roses are Red, Stutterfly, Bedlight for Blue Eyes, The Confession and Bleed the Dream were the five bands that rocked the Pearson Theatre.
The Confession were ready to get the night started. Right up to par with the four other bands, The Confession will be a household name soon enough.
With an energy that can get anyone in the mood for a night filled with hard rock, this band could stand out in sea of musical bliss.
Bedlight for Blue Eyes is made up of five boys from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. With such a devotion and passion for their music, they have perfected a sound that is all their own.
Gracing the stage with their rock and roll attitudes, they have what it takes to bring back all that music community has been missing.
With their ever growing fan base, Bedlight for Blue Eyes is sure to make an impact in every city they hit on this tour.
Whether it is their good looks, or their unique sound, they are going to make a lasting impression on anyone that they come in contact with.
Also touring with Bleed the Dream were Stutterfly, an alternative post hardcore band from Kelowna, British Columbia.
With the mellow tunes and the sweet serenading voice of the lead singer Chris, it was easy for me to fall in love with their unique style and sound.
Their debut album, “And We Are Bled Of Color” is out now and receiving much deserved recognition, already having their video debut on Fuse.
Stutterfly knows how to grace the stage with such a presence that the crowd can bleeds into the crowd.
Roses are Red are natives of New York and have a style all their own.
Mixing hard rock with graceful melodies, they’ve created a whole new sound, which can be heard on their debut album “Conversations” released on Trustkill Records.
This quintet knows how to control the stage. Their presence makes it nearly impossible to tear your eyes away while they become involved with their music.
This album has such a punk vibe and catchy tunes that anyone is sure to love it no matter what their musical tastes are.
The headliner of this gig was Bleed the Dream. They were regulars at this year’s warped tour, playing at every location, even after their drummer Scott Gottlieb passed away earlier this year of cancer.
Their debut CD “Built by Blood,” was released on Warcon Records only weeks after Gottlieb’s death. The CD has been winning many critics over and that showed clearly in this past show.
With all of their emotion and heart put into their show, Bleed the Dream were the highlight of the night while rocking the stage.
If you missed the show, you missed one hell of a night. The five bands that graced the stage and introduced themselves to an otherwise unknown world, are sure to be around for just little bit longer, if you let them.
