ADMISSIONS DECISION
Application notification begins on September 17th and is provided on a rolling basis. In order to secure a space with the university, refer to your admission letter for your final deadline to submit your enrollment reservation and mandatory orientation deposit.

SEPTEMBER 17th - OCTOBER 31st

SUBMIT YOUR ENROLLMENT RESERVATION AND MANDATORY ORIENTATION DEPOSIT (refer to your letter of admission for due date).

Refund Information: If you change your mind about attending Sonoma State University, you must notify the University in writing in order to receive a refund. The Enrollment/Orientation Deposit does not guarantee specific course or program availability and is 50% refundable if requested in writing by December 15, 2012; non-refundable thereafter. To apply for campus housing, make your $400 Housing down payment. Payment date establishes housing priority. Housing down payment does not guarantee a space or specific assignment. SUBMIT FINANCIAL AID MATERIAL
The application process is free. The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at FAFSA using SSU's federal school code of 001156. Read more @ Financial Aid
OCTOBER - NOVEMBER
REGISTER FOR MANDATORY ORIENTATION

Transfer orientation gives you an opportunity to meet with faculty, review information regarding how your credits will transfer, plan your schedule and REGISTER. Transfer Orientation is a one-day program, and is mandatory; you will learn about graduation requirements, the registration process and satisfy our university policy that you be advised before beginning your first semester. OCTOBER 15 - NOVEMBER 15
ACCEPT CAMPUS HOUSING
Campus housing offers are sent electronically on a space available basis. Accept your offer to live on-campus by the designated deadline. Read more @ Housing
OCTOBER - EARLY JANUARY
SUBMIT REQUIRED IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
Send offical proof that you have received required immunizations to the SSU Office of Admissions and Records ASAP. This is mandatory and must be completed prior to the start of your first semester of classes. Read more about the immunization requirements. Make sure you have received and have records of the required immunizations now. Download this Immunization Form and attach the proper records to the completed form and mail to SSU Office of Admissions and Records. Records MUST be recieved at least three weeks before the start of your first semester at SSU to allow time for processing before classes begin.
NOVEMBER 19th
ATTEND MANDATORY ORIENTATION

Transfer Orientation is a required program for all students in order to register for courses.

JANUARY 1st
SUBMIT PAYMENT FOR MANDATORY REGISTRATION CHARGES
You must pay your mandatory registration charges by January 1, 2013. Even if schedule changes are planned, you must complete the registration process by paying the mandatory charges or an automatic disenrollment process will occur.

Note: The Seawolf Service Center will be closed from December 24th -January 1st. Mailed payments received during the holiday closure will be considered "on time". If paying by phone, do so before the closure. The online payment function will be open throughout the holiday closure.

Financial Aid Students: If you have applied for financial aid and have received an offer from our Financial Aid Office by January 1, 2013, in an amount sufficient to cover your semester mandatory registration charges, the payment of your mandatory registration charges will be deferred until your first disbursement for Spring 2013. You will NOT be disenrolled. If you file your FAFSA after November 1, 2012, you must front your Spring mandatory registration charges or your classes will be dropped in January.

JANUARY 11th
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS DUE

Your offer of admission is contingent upon you meeting the specific admissions requirements outlined on your admission letter. Submit official final semester transcripts no later than January 11th. In the event that final documents are not received by January 11th, a hold will be placed on your account preventing further registration activity. Request that all your Official Transcripts be mailed to:

JANUARY 12th
MOVE-IN WEEKEND
Residents living on-campus will move-in to the Residential Community. Read more at housing
JANUARY 7th - 25th
OPEN REG/ADD/DROP
Need to adjust your schedule? Spring 2013 open registration/add/drop dates & times will be posted in November. See Registration Announcements
JANUARY 14th
CLASSES BEGIN
You can still register during the add/drop period. Be sure to pay any associated charges no later than January 25th; registration is not complete without final registration payment.
