The student speaker selection committee is accepting applications from the graduating class of 2013 for students to deliver a Commencement address to their fellow graduates.
Take this great opportunity to share your SSU memories, words of inspirations and challenge to make a difference in the world while representing your peers on May 11.
One student will be chosen to represent the Schools of Arts and Humanities, Education and Business and Economics at the 9 a.m. ceremony, and one student will be chosen to represent the Schools of Science andTechnology and Social Sciences at the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Criteria for selection of student speakers:
- Graduating students who received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in December 2012 or will receive a bachelor’s or master’s degree in May or August 2013.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA, or grade equivalent for Hutchins students.
- Must be able to demonstrate engagement through service to the community, University or club membership.
- Must provide one nomination from a faculty or staff member.
