Your name will be called in the order you line up that day.  Fill out the ‘green card’ given to you in line.  Your name will then be read from that card when you cross the front and receive your diploma case.

Caps and Gowns

The academic regalia to be worn for Commencement is the traditional black cap and gown. Regalia can be ordered at the bookstore until May 6. Order yours early to ensure correct size.

Parking

Permits are not required on Commencement day. Advance reservations can be made for disabled and mobility limited guests to park in Lot G, the closest lot to Commencement site. Additionally, advance reservations for a special “assigned seating” area for the disabled or limited mobility guest plus one helper can be requested. The assigned seating area is a section of metal folding chairs next to the graduate seating area.

Guest Info

General seating is on a first come basis. Reservations and tickets are not needed. Seating is available for 4,000+ guests in folding chairs and on bleachers on the Commencement Lawn.  See above Parking info for the disabled and for those with limited mobility.  Due to having about 1,000 graduates per ceremony, seating for friends and family members is limited.  A live webcast can be viewed from offsite if guest is unable to attend in person.
