FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I sign-up to participate in Commencement?
Answer: There is no sign-up to walk in the ceremony. You will line up with your Academic School and names are called in the order you are lined up on Commencement day.
How do I get tickets for my family and friends and how many can I bring?
Answer: There are no tickets. Five is the recommended number of guests per graduate.
Where do I get my cap, gown and announcements?
Answer: Order them through the bookstore website. Visit the Grad Fair March 11, 12 or 13 in the Commons.
I am not graduating until December. Can I still walk in May’s ceremony?
Answer: Yes. However, your name will not appear in the program until May 2009.

The 2008 Commencement
ceremonies celebrate students who graduated in December
2007 or will graduate in May 2008 or August 2008. The ceremonies
normally last from 2-3 hours each.

a parent/child combo or assorted siblings
or have grandparents who also attended SSU?

earned multiple degrees? Are you getting your
dream job after graduation? Perhaps you overcame
difficult odds getting to college or plan to
make your life's work helping others who need
a hand?
