Students who graduated in December 2012 and have applied for graduation in May 2013 and August 2013
Graduate Arrival Time & Location
Graduates should report to the processional line-up on the north side of Stevenson Hall. Look for your school banner. Arrive at 8:15 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. ceremony and at 2:15 p.m. for the 3:00 p.m. ceremony.
Your name will be called in the order you line up that day. Fill out the ‘name card’ given to you in line. Your name will then be read from that card when you cross the platform and receive your diploma case.
Caps and Gowns
The academic regalia to be worn for Commencement is the traditional black cap and gown. Regalia can be ordered at the bookstore. Order yours early to ensure correct size.
Parking
Permits are not required on Commencement day. Advance reservations can be made for disabled and mobility limited guests to park in Lot G, the closest lot to Commencement site. Additionally, advance reservations for a special “assigned seating” area for the disabled or limited mobility guest plus one helper can be requested. The assigned seating area is a section of metal folding chairs next to the graduate seating area.
Guest Info
General seating is on a first come basis. Reservations and tickets are not needed. Seating is available for 4,000+ guests in chairs and bleachers on the Commencement Lawn. See above Parking info for the disabled and for those with limited mobility. Due to having about 1,000 graduates per ceremony, seating for friends and family members is limited.

Order from at the Sonoma State University Bookstore. Come to the bookstore’s Grad Fair February 27 & 28.
