Jeffrey Arnold, (B.A., 1980) is medical director of the Yale New Haven Center for Emergency and Terrorism Preparedness, faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery at Yale University. After earning his BA in Studio Art in 1980 he completed post-baccalaureate study in biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1988 he received his medical degree from Stanford. Dr. Arnold worked as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he served on the Trauma Performance Improvement and Emergency Disaster Preparedness committees..He received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1999.
Richard E. Flinders, (B.S., 1973) is chief of the adult medicine service at Santa Rosa Family Practice Residency programs at Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa. He is the founder and director of the Rise Program and author of The Rise Response: Illness, Wellness and Spirituality. He is also a clinical professor, Department of Family Practice at UCSF School of Medicine. Dr. Flinders received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1989.
Jordan Grafman, (B.A., 1975) is Chief of Cognitive Neurosciences Section, Medical Neurology Branch, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and National Institutes of Health. His interests for psychology grew as he took several classes at Sonoma State. Dr. Grafman was assigned as the chief neuropsychologist for the Vietnam Head Injury Study while in the United States Air Force. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1996.

Martin Klein (B.A. Psychology, 1982 & B.A. Sociology, 1982) is associate dean for Student Services and Administrative Operations at Yale University. He is also co-principal investigator for a funded project called “Medical School Participation in Ambulatory Care and School-Based Health Centers,” awarded by the New York State Department of Health. Dr. Klein received a Ph.D. from Columbia University, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in 2000, a M.P.H. from Yale University, School of Medicine in 1986. He was also selected for additional training as a Harvard Macy Scholar at the prestigious Harvard Macy Institute Program for Physician Educators in 2002 and received the honor of a fellowship in Medical Informatics through the National Library of Medicine.Dr. Klein was chosen as Distinguished Alumus, 2004.

Stan Tillinghast, M.D., (B.A., 1965) is Chief of Preventative Medicine and Patient Education at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Sacramento. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1990.
