The Office of Emergency Services is in the final planning stages of a full-scale emergency exercise to take place on Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16. During this exercise, members of the Emergency Operations Center, Facilities Management, and Information Technology will practice their response to a major emergency.
Members of the campus community may see employees responding to various campus locations to simulate responding to a hazard after an earthquake. Campus operations will not be disrupted and most employees will not need to do anything differently due to this exercise. As a part of the larger exercise, managers will be checking-in with their employees to ensure their safety after an emergency. This includes employees working remotely or off-campus. However, employees on vacation or other leave will not be contacted.
