Books for Biology 314 -- Fall 2007

Please note: These books are usually available at your local bookstores or used bookstores since they are not textbooks per se.
You will also be able to locate
new or used copies of many of these via online booksellers such as amazon.com or half.com or barnesandnobel.com, which are only three of many online book sellers.

A NATURAL HISTORY OF CALIFORNIA is the main book you will be reading during the semester. The rest of the selections are guidebooks to certain groups of organisms, such as trees or birds or flowers; so, in some cases, you may have a choice from several available guidebooks, and you can choose the one you prefer; or you may already have one that can replace one of my suggestions.
