Cold Plasmas really exist and could be used as cloaking devices! Okay, it's more likely they'll be used to sterilize food, medical equipment and whatever else at room temperature. Cool. posted 7/27/2000 (link me, baby)

Great Taoist tale:
The Path A Taoist teacher asked her student to accompany her on a hike. The teacher, with her student at her side, walked to the foot of a small mountain and started up the path that led to the top. About halfway up, she stopped and asked her student, "Which way is up?" He pointed up. She asked, "Which way is down?" He pointed down. She said, "The same path takes you up and down. That is the unity of opposites. If you again tell me that you don't understand the unity of opposites, I will tell you to take a hike. -- Benares, Camden. A Handful of Zen. From the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest:
"His eyes bored into hers like the slowly turning bit of a 2.5 horsepower drill press set to slowspeed to keep from scoring the surface of a priceless mahogany table being repaired for an estate auction that was not expected to bring in much, anyway."

These Google Browser Buttons are very handy. Add one to your personal toolbar. When you click on it, a search box is invoked, you don't even have to go to their search page. You can also highlight a word or phrase on a webpage and click the search button, it will input your search terms automatically and show your hits. Cool, eh? It's really quick and convenient. Shouldn't all search engines do this? I sure wish my favorite, Northern Light, would! I emailed them and asked. Let's hope so. posted 7/7/2000 (link me, baby)
