What
is an entry?
Write a quote from your readings, or from your field journal.
Put in between quotation marks. Then add a personal reflection which is
at least 15 lines long.
Write another entry which is a response to a colleagues entries.
The following are examples of different kinds of entries:
connection to your personal life: "This quote (entry) reminds me of an experience I had, in which......"
reflection on the feelings: "This makes me feel................,because..........."
connection to observations from field placement: "This reminds me of my observations in my field placement, where I observed ......................"
analysis of contradictions: "This idea contradicts the concept of.......... presented by............. in the following reading................. because...............(can be readings from our class or from other courses you are taking)
analysis of logical implications: If this is the case case then the following should be the case.....
connections to teaching practice: "This idea makes me think that in a classroom I could do ................."
connections with issues in the U.S. and in California: This idea contradicts (or is in accordance with...) the following policies, practices..............
