Field Report, Exercise 3,
Exercise three will consist of your notes on what you observe on our field trip today, on concepts and topics discussed, and on thoughts you have regarding these topics. Thus you should have entries for each landform or feature we stop and talk about, plus sketches, diagrams of the features.
In addition to writing down your impressions of what you observe and notes on concepts, I’d like to you also look for the following and include them in your report:

1. Three examples of systems in equilibrium or disequilibrium
2. Three examples of weathering, described.
3. Three examples of mass movements, different types, described
4. Three examples of evidence of water changing the landscape, land surface
5. Think about the balance between driving forces and resisting forces

In all of these, think about the environmental conditions, cascade of thresholds and responses, and range of processes, that may be involved in the creation of a single landform or feature.

You should also submit field notes of soil descriptions, if we get a chance to do this.
