I agree, it is way overused. It is being used to control unruly behavior in many children rather than taking the time and effort to discipline them. Oftentimes, teachers are insisting certain students be placed on Ritalin or they are threatened with being booted out of school. Ritalin could be replaced by quality family time, better quality teaching, and an occasional spanking.
