Question about the article

By Michele Rushton, on 03/17/2002.

I heard about this on KCBS Friday and thought it was pretty interesting. Was there any mention of the potential mechanism by which statin agents may improve memory? Obviously less atherosclerosis development would improve blood flow and thereby improve memory, but that doesn't tell us anything about the drugs implicit ability to improve memory. This is especially interesting because statin drugs can cause liver damage and anyone taking one has to have liver function tests on a regular basis. Hm.
