Here's Delaney's first podcast.

Some clips from Ely's birthday party. The slide was a big hit.
Delaney says this is the song the sky sings when it farts.
I've been on vacation for almost two weeks. Not a "real" vacation - I'm the designated child care provider while we're in between nannies. Our next nanny will be live-out, opening the 3rd bedroom up for Delaney. She finally has her own room. My mom came to visit last week, and she and I painted an island mural on two of the walls. The image above is a panoramic I stitched together from a bunch of pics my mom took. The coconut tree in the center is actually in the corner. We used glow in the dark paint on the rainbow and flowers, and also painted glow in the dark stars on the walls and ceilings. The effect is really pretty realistic at night. Well, except of the eerily glowing rainbow... that looks kinda weird.
Delaney loves it. Every night before bed, she puts her Disney cd on her boombox, plays He Mele No Lilo (from Lilo and Stitch) and hula dances.
Awwww!
Delaney graduated from the SSU Children's School today, earning her diploma for early childhood education.
And boy, were CJ and I relieved. We'd gone through weeks of grueling late night study sessions, last minute cramming, culminating in the most strenuous academic testing of Delaney's young life.
It came close to all going down the toilet when she fell off the tire swing, totally screwing up her playtime grades. Luckily, she had really excelled in circle time participation and popsicle stick crafts, so it all worked out in the end.
We're still waiting to see if she'll be accepted into her first choice kindergarten. These California public schools are pretty exclusive...
Went to the Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Festival at the Discovery Museum in Sausalito today. Check out the pics.
