This 14-week,
3-unit, graduate-level course
is designed for faculty who wish to teach online.
Faculty participants will develop an online
learning community. They will learn how to rethink
their face-to-face courses for teaching in the
online classroom. They will collaborate together in
a variety of learning activities that will enable
them to transform a selected face-to-face course in
their discipline to an online venue. This course is
structured so that learners experience what it's
like to be an online student as well as an online
instructor. Course assignments will be graded. Upon
successful completion of the course, faculty
learners will receive certification as an SSU
online instructor.
