Quiz on Chapters 13 and 14
(must
complete by end of the 2nd week of Part
01) All quizzes in this course
are "open book." That is, you may consult the
textbook while taking the quiz. The purpose of the
quiz is to ensure that you learn the material that
is explained in the related chapters of the
textbook. It is up to the personal
integrity of each of you to maintain a code of
honor upholding the highest standard of academic
honesty while taking the quiz. The same standards
apply to taking a quiz or exam online that apply
when taking an exam in the face-to-face
classroom: Anyone who is discovered in
violation of any aspect of this policy will
automatically receive a zero on the quiz, and may
be subject to explusion from and/or failure of the
course. You will immediately receive
a numerical score on the quiz indicating the number
of items you answered correctly. However, I assign
letter grades to these scores on a curve that is
based on the distribution of numerical scores that
students achieve on this quiz. If you've already
taken the quiz and were to discuss it with someone
who has yet to submit it, you would jeopardize your
own letter grade by offering that person an
advantage over you. And, of course, if I became
aware of this breech of ethics, both parties would
receive a zero on the quiz. At the end of each quiz, you
will be asked to respond to the following
question: By marking "Yes" below, I
hereby state on MY WORD OF HONOR that I have upheld
the standards of academic honesty while taking this
quiz. I have answered these questions solely and
independently without looking at anyone else's
answers, and without talking to anyone else who's
already taken the quiz before I've taken it, nor
have I talked with anyone else about the quiz while
I was taking it. ____Yes The
quiz for Part 5 is closed, 29 April
