Chapter 8 examines the study of mathematics with students who have learning and behavior problems. Topics include measurement, time, verbal math problem solving, and computational skill development. Consideration is also given to the revised National Council for Teaching Mathematics standards and an interpretation for students with disabilities (how do we figure out what standards are essential understanding vs. things that are good to know when we are working with students who have learning challenges).
