FRONT-END RESEARCH PROJECT INFORMATION

The final activity for the class is a "Front-End Research" project. This project is best described as a PowerPoint resource that initiates study in a given area. It provides introductory information, an invitation to learning, and a set for a simulation activity or web quest. The author supplies web resources(at least one PowerPoint hyperlink) to provide for more in-depth work and continued study. The Front-End Research Project is effectively used by individuals or small groups in a classroom setting.

Front-End Research Project Grading Criteria

These are the areas that I will be looking at when evaluating your project:

• Introductory Page describing the class and age group this project is targeted for.
  
• Grade appropriate topic- relates to an area of learning for students at this grade.
  
• Contains at least 5 slides introducing students to the topic and providing relevant information.
  
• Offers a list of at least 5 web links for further study and research through hyperlinks or a separate hotlist.
  
• Web links are appropriate for the intended age/grade
  
• Web links are functional (they work).
  
• At least one photo or drawing is present on each slide.
  
• The project could realistically be used to extend/enhance an area of study for the intended age/grade.

• At least one action button in the PowerPoint show
