Overview

As technology develops by leaps and bounds, the pressure grows for schools to incorporate its use in the world of education. But, what exactly does that mean? How is the use of technology in education different than in business or the home? What should students know and be able to do as far as technology is concerned? How will technology impact teaching and learning? Advanced Practices in Educational Technology focuses on several themes that will help educational leaders address these questions including: curriculum design, technology access, models for success, facility design, legal issues, and sustaining technology resources over time. Consideration will be given to current research and best practices. A special project will address the application of technology for a specific student chosen educational challenge.
