He became licensed as a Psychologist in California in 1976 and has provided counseling, consultation, and training in the following settings: university counseling center, community mental health, medical hospitals and clinics, psychiatric hospitals, Peace Corps Training, and an international exchange student program. He has held teaching positions in undergraduate, graduate, and medical school settings. Michael has been in private practice in Sonoma County since 1981 and has served as President of the Redwood Psychological Association and as a Board Member of the California Psychological Association. His professional interests include psychological assessment, clinical hypnosis, stress management, coping with health concerns, and dealing with life transitions.
