Introduction
These two beetles occur in the eastern side of North America (Brown 1956). In some ways, their patterns resemble those of C. aeneicollis, but the dark areas in C. scripta have contracted enough that they appear to be dark spots on a light background rather than light spots on a dark background. These species were collected by Professor Robert Fritz of Vassar College in New York State.
