All Competitors pay a $5.00 Registration Fee. All spectators pay a $3.00 Registration Fee. (payable at the event upon registration; if by check make payable to "Sonoma State University")
ELIGBILITY FOR COMPETITION:
All students currently enrolled in a high school or middle school Spanish class are eligible to compete in any of the events at the appropriate level.

Each teacher should send the following information by mail, fax, or e-mail::
Name of school
Contact information (of teacher)
Class level for each student (e.g., Spanish 3, AP Spanish, etc.)
Names of students participating in each event (be sure to indicate which students are performing together)

SPANISH LANGUAGE COMPETITIVE EVENTS
This competition is open to any high school or middle school students taking a Spanish class. Students will recite the poem in pairs. Poems must be selected from the provided list. Judging is holistic and is based on delivery, memorization, pronunciation, and poise. There will be prizes for the winners!

There are three levels, determined on the basis of current student enrollment:
Level 1. Students enrolled in Middle School, First, Second, and Third Year Spanish classes.
Level 2. Students enrolled in Fourth Year or AP Spanish classes.
Level 3. Students enrolled in Spanish for Heritage Speakers classes.
Any group of three or more students can participate. You will have to write your own play and then perform it the day of the competition. Your performance can not be longer than 10 minutes. There will be prizes for the winners!
Students create and submit a short movie created entirely in Spanish. Maximum duration 5 minutes. DVD or VHS format only. Be creative! There will be prizes for the winners! The winning film will be premiered at the Language Festival on March 10, 2007.
