- food and drink in the 17th century
- 17th-century French theater (Pierre Corneille, Jean Racine)
- 17th-century French women's writing (Madeleine de Scudéry, Jacqueline Pascal, Gilberte Pascal)
- 17th-century moralists (Blaise Pascal)
- brief forays into work by Lilas Desquiron, Virginia Woolf, Camara Laye, Eugene O'Neill, Charles Baudelaire, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Choderlos de Laclos

Bay Area Francophile List
The Bay Area Francophile List is a weekly calendar of cultural events of interest to francophones and francophiles in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering information on cinema, art, theater, music, converation groups, classes, etc., and servicing the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

French 17
I am very happy to have served as editor of French 17: An Annual Bibliography of French 17th Century Studies from 2000 to 2008, and as a contributing editor from 1997-2000. Editorship of French 17 has now been passed to Dr. Stephen Shapiro at Bennington College in Vermont. He may be reached at french17biblio@gmail.com.
