We use the binomial theorem.

Start with a7. After that each term has one less factor of a and one more factor of b. The next term is 7a6b. After that, the coefficient in each succeeding term has one more consecutive factor going down in the top and one more consecutive factor going up in the bottom. The coefficients will all reduce down to whole numbers.
