PURPOSE: The purpose of Math 35 is to prepare the Student for the precalculus program, general education courses in mathematics, and other courses involving mathematics at the college or university level.

GRADING:

Homework.............................15%

Quizzes.................................45%

Final Exam.............................40%

Homework is the most important part of the course. If you keep up with the homework you will probably do well. The quizzes will measure how well the students have mastered the homework. The final exam will measure how well the students have mastered the material on the quizzes.

Students are required to have either a TI 86 graphing calculator. The use of calculators is allowed on homework and tests.

All students will receive a letter grade on this course.
