About the Chamber Singers

The Chamber Singers are a small a cappella ensemble specializing in music of the Medieval and Renaissance periods. The group also occasionally features contemporary music. The group has travelled twice to Europe (in 1999 and 2001), and is plannign a June, 2004 tour of Spain.

Auditions

For tryouts contact Bob Worth and/or come to the first rehearsal which occurs on the first Monday of each semester, 7-9:40 PM, Ives 119 on the SSU campus.

Performances

This spring semester the Chamber Singers will perform The Music of Josquin Desprez, featuring Missa Pang Lingua, Marian motets, Italian secular music, and chansons.

Performances are Friday, May 2 at 8 P.M. and Saturday, May 3 at 8 P.M. at Holy Family Episcopal Church, 1500 East Cotati Avenue (Corner of Snyder Lane), Rohnert Park.

Tickets for performances are available through the Center for Performing Arts Box Office (707-664-2353) or at the door. Tickets are:

$12 General
$10 Fans (Faculty, Alumni, Staff)
$8 Students/Seniors
