ANTH 203:003 / Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
Prof. Richard Senghas, instructor. Examination of the anthropological approach to the study of human behavior. The course examines ethnographies of peoples ranging from Africa to Alaska that have connections to the Water Works theme, including the Dobe Ju/'hoansi people of Africa.

Under Water
This exhibition presents a selection of regional, national, and internationally recognized artists who portray water both directly and metaphorically, and in one instance literally as a material in her sculpture. Participating artists include such renowned artists as Christo and Jeanne-Claude.

SSU BRASS ENSEMBLE
Ruth Wilson, director. Splish, splash! Brass Ensemble joins the Water Works movement on this enticing program including Mendelssohn’s Venetian Boat Songs, Gliere’s Russian Sailors Dance, and Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water under the baton of guest conductor Brian Wilson. The water-themed program anticipates the ensemble’s upcoming tour to the Korean island of Jeju.

MAKE A SPLASH EVENT + The Great Divide
On Nov 7, Water Works held its Make a Splash! event. Student, staff, and faculty attendees enjoyed a pre-show panel and reception before the Department of Theatre Arts & Dance's performance of The Great Divide, a contemporary play about "fracking," or hydraulic fracturing. Provost Andrew Rogerson spoke, highlighting the importance of Water Works for Sonoma State.
