Saturday, August 25th

  • Res Life Get A Way Trip to Mini Golf at Scandia
    Meet at 4pm in front of Police Services to carpool $5. Sign up for this, and other RSA trips, at the Res Life Office; which is locat ed in Verdot Village. The office is open from 8:30am – 4pm Mon through Friday.
  • RSA BIG SCREEN OUTDOOR Movie, Featuring : THE HUNGER GAMES at 8pm; Sauv Quad

Monday, August 27th

  • Panhellenic Recruitment Information Night at 7pm; Cooperage
    Women interested in joining a national Panhellenic sorority should attend one of the information nights hosted by the SSU Panhellenic Council on August 27, 28, 29, and 30th at 7pm in the Cooperage. Attendees will be presented with information about the six Panhellenic sororities at SSU (Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Gamma Phi Beta, and Phi Sigma Sigma) and have an opportunity to meet many women involved in these organizations. You will also receive information about the Formal Recruitment process, which will take place September 6-10. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to have a question/answer session about recruitment/membership with active sorority members, and the opportunity to register for recruitment. No obligations are made by attending any of the info nights.

  • Service and Internship Fair at 11am – 1:30pm; Salazar Quad
    Discover the many different volunteer and internship opportunities in the local community. You can meet with representat ives from a variety of non-profits wanting you to serve as a volunteer or intern. Come sign up and get involved! Sponsored by JUMP, Center for Community Engagement & Career Services.

  • Club and Campus Resource Fair and Hot Dog Giveaway Day at 11am – 2pm; Salazar Quad
    Are you looking to get involved at SSU?  Would you like some free food too?  Well this event was made for you!!  Come out to the Salazar Quad to meet numerous clubs/organizations, grab a free lunch courtesy of Dining Services and Sonoma State Enterprises, and enjoy a beautiful day.  Don’t forget about the free Hot Dogs!!

    Are you interested in rushing a sorority? Come check out Kappa Delta Zeta! We are largest  local sorority at Sonoma State University that strives to instill the importance of friendship, academics, and community involvement while enhancing the college experience of all our sisters! We encourage all girls to come to Info Night where we will explain all of the rush events and rush requirements as well as give more information on what Kappa Delta Zeta is all about!
  • Tutorial Center Open House 11:30-1pm in 1061 Salazar
    We are excited to announce that the Tutorial Center has moved from its cramped quarters in the Learning Center office area to its own space in the first floor corner of Salazar Hall (1061). The Tutorial Center offers one-on-one and small group peer tutoring in 40 plus subjects, serving 400 to 500 students in the Center each semester. The program also offers supplemental instruction for lower division science courses in collaboration with the School of Science and Technology. Tutoring is a free service for SSU students and is funded by the Associated Students, Inc. Come by and check out the new space and tutoring schedule at our Open House.

Thursday, August 30th

  • CSLIS Club Charter Meeting at 12pm; SU MPR
    Do you want to start a new club/organizat ion? Are you looking to recharter a club that used to be active at SSU? Is the current charter for your group about to expire? Make sure that your president and treasurer at tends a club chartering meeting. This is a requirement to be officially recognized by SSU. You will get lots of informat ion about the process, what the benefits are, and what you need to do. The deadline for Fall Chartering is Friday, September 14, 2012.

Friday, August 31st

  • Drop in Immunization Clinic at 9:30-11am and 1:30-3pm; Student Health Center Here's your chance to get required immunizat ions such as measles (MMR) and/or Hepat itis B before you end up with a hold on your ability to register for future classes. You can also get other immunizat ions that are recommended for college students like Meningococcal Vaccine, HPV vaccine, tetanus/pertussis (Tdap) vaccine etc. All vaccines are offered at the Student Health Center's wholesale acquisition costs. Immunizat ion clinics are first come, first served on a staff and vaccine availability basis.
  • Friday Nite Live:Wii Tournament at 9pm-FREE
    Join us on Friday Nights in Amecis for a variety of events designed to give you something to do other than going out and drinking.  Events range from karaoke, crafts and tournaments to bingo, movies and game nights.
  • Res Life Get A Way: Rohnert Park Friday Night Market-FREE
    Meet at 5pm at Police Services. Rohnert Park has a great little farmer’s market on Friday nights. Live music, local food vendors and a small farmers market where you can get fresh honey, fruit, veges, homemade ice cream and more!   • Mindful Men and Mountains in Desolation Wilderness (August 31st-September 3rd)
