Sonoma State University lost one of its greatest supporters and benefactors, Edward "Ed" Stolman on December 23, 2012.

Ed's enthusiasm was contagious, and his leadership and vision helped create the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at SSU in 2001, as well as other institutes nation-wide. He was also instrumental in bringing in supporters to fund the Green Music Center.

A celebration of Ed Stolman's life will be held on Monday, Jan. 28, from 4 -6 p.m. in Weill Hall. Speakers for this event will be SSU President Ruben ArmiƱana, longtime friend and co-owner of Jacuzzi Family Winery and Cline Cellars, Nancy Cline and former Dean of SSU Extended Education and OLLI at SSU co-founder, Les Adler.

There will be an open mic as well as light refreshments. The family has requested that donations in Ed's memory be made to OLLI or the GMC at SSU. The campus community is invited to attend.
