Student Health Center Receives Maximum Re-accreditation
The Student Health Center has been re-accredited for the maximum duration possible (eighth accreditation cycle in a row) by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care - www.AAAHC.org.
This means that for more than two decades, the Student Health Center has been evaluated according to the rigorous standards of an independent nationally recognized healthcare accrediting organization, has consistently met or exceeded those standards, and has demonstrated that it is likely to continue to do so.
The accreditation process consists of an extensive on site and off site review of documents, records, observations, and interviews by experts that study the quality and effectiveness of the Student Health Center's medical, public health, and clinical support services, as well as its administrative operations, policies and procedures, attention to clientele and many other variables.
" I would like to thank the dedicated SSU staff and others on campus whose collaboration contributed to this re-accreditation success and also recognize their on-going commitment to facilitating the health, academic, and personal success of SSU students," said Georgia Schwartz, Director
