Seawolf Welcome Weeks kick off with Move In Day and Big Nite 2013

With another fall semester quickly approaching, Move In Day and Big Nite kick off the year and officially welcome the 1,700 new Seawolves to Sonoma State University.

Move In Day on August 17 will be filled with activities, from students moving into their new homes, parent receptions and the opening BBQ for first year students and families.

Also, the first Residential Student Association (RSA) and Associate Student Productions (ASP) event of the year, First Night 2013 introduces the Mentalist duo, The Evansons. The energy level will be high, and all are encouraged to come and see why so many call this weekend their favorite days of the year.

The weekend continues with Big Nite on Sunday, Aug. 18 from 8 p.m. – midnight. Big Nite has grown substantially over the years. Last year more than 3,500 new and returning students and 150 clubs and organizations attended. The night will consist of carnival rides, kettle corn, club performances, music, food, caricatures, tabling by local business and more.
