"Fiddler on the Roof" Auditions Open to Community

Sonoma County singers, actors, and dancers are invited to audition on Aug. 25 and 27 for Sonoma State University's 50th anniversary production of the Bock & Harnick classic, "Fiddler on the Roof."

The show is a co-production of the departments of music, theatre arts, and dance, with performances running Feb. 6-16, 2014. There are openings for ten women, eleven men, four specialty male dancers and a mixed chorus. Performances take place in the Evert B. Person Theatre under the direction of Lynne Morrow, music; and Adrian Elfenbaum, stage.

Persons auditioning should bring two songs and one contemporary monologue. An accompanist will be provided.

The auditions are:

  • Aug. 25, 1-5 p.m., Person Theatre - acting/singing auditions
  • Aug. 25, 6-10 p.m., Ives 101 and Ives 80 - callbacks/dance auditions
  • Aug. 27, 6-7 p.m., Person Theatre - acting/singing auditions
  • Aug. 29, 6-10 p.m., Ives 101 and Ives 80 - additional callbacks
  • Aug. 30, 4-8 p.m., Ives 101 and Ives 80 - additional callbacks
