Join the Faculty Writing Program for Fall 2013
Faculty who have papers that need completion, or would like to start a new writing project are encouraged to join the Faculty Writing Program. This program will help faculty complete and research writing projects or focus on work for which they cannot find the time. The program also provides a supportive environment for faculty to receive helpful comments on or about their work.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their writing materials at any time throughout the semester. Each member has an opportunity to present work that other seminar members read, review and discuss. Throughout this program members will be part of fascinating research, innovative teaching, and interdisciplinary connections.
Those who attend will review grant proposals, essays, conference papers, chapters, journal manuscripts, revised and resubmitted manuscripts, rejected manuscripts, book proposals, keynote and plenary addresses.
At the request of members, the program offers occasional special seminars on topics concerning scholarly writing, research and publishing. Participation in the program assists those to continue to stay active in their specific field as well as learn ways to improve all faculty writing abilities.
New tenure-track faculty have first priority for joining a seminar. Contact Kathy Charmaz by email at firstname.lastname@example.org about openings and arranging a short meeting prior to a session.
Meetings are in Stevenson 2011. Two separate seminars are scheduled this semester.
