Patrick Taylor
Patrick is entering his senior year at Sonoma State University as an English Major in the Single-Subject Teaching track. He hopes to become an inspiring middle or high school teacher. In addition, Patrick is pursuing two minors in Jazz Studies on saxophone and History. He likes to think of himself as well rounded, though relentlessly busy might be a more apt description. In brief moments of spare time, Patrick enjoys vegging out on some mindless TV, hiking around Marin County, reading, working on writing a longtime novel project, and going out for pie at 3am. Patrick is very excited to be part of the awesome Writing Center staff and considers his tutoring sessions one of the highlights of the week. Helping people find their voices as writers and better express themselves is profoundly rewarding for him. Patrick believes that developing as a writer is a constant process, often filled with moments of struggle for even the greatest literary geniuses and wordsmiths. However, with dogged persistence and minimal assistance, the wonderful feeling of success WILL come. Patrick looks forward to working with you this year!
