How do I get to the University Art Gallery at Sonoma State University?

Where can I park on campus?  Is there a cost?

Parking on campus requires a daily permit. To park in Lot A, the reserved lot nearest the Art Gallery, you may purchase a permit for $8. To park in any non-reserved lot, you may purchase a permit for $5. Parking permits are required 24/7.

Can I bring my students?

Student groups are welcome at the University Art Gallery.  For groups larger than ten, please call ahead to make sure there are no other groups scheduled in the Gallery at the same time.

If you would like to bring your class for a visit when the Gallery is normally closed, please call for special accommodations; with advance notice, we will try our best to make the Gallery available either before or after our normal hours.

Can I touch the art?

In order to preserve and protect the artwork, we request you do not touch works of art. Ever.

How can I be added to the mailing list to receive exhibition announcements from the gallery?

To have your name added to the mailing list, please call (707) 664-2295, e-mail at art.gallery@sonoma.edu, or visit us in person to leave your name and mailing address.

How do I have my artwork shown at the University Art Gallery?

Although the Art Gallery's exhibitions are scheduled 1 - 2 years in advance, we welcome the opportunity to review the work of other artists.

How do I donate a piece of artwork to Art from the Heart?

Due to limited space, the Gallery accepts artworks for donation to the annual Art from the Heart fundraiser by invitation only.  Artists who wish to donate to Art from the Heart must submit images of their work along with a resume that includes professional exhibitions to the Exhibitions Coordinator at carla.stone@sonoma.edu.
