The Haitian Diasporic Imaginary ft: Dr. Nadège Clitandre, UC-Santa Barbara. The internationally acclaimed author of Breath, Eyes, Memory and Krik? Krak!, Edwidge Danticat is the most prominent voice of the Haitian-American experience in the United States today.  Dr. Nadège Clitandre’s book on Danticat’s work focuses on the realities of immigration and diaspora and the imaginative opportunities that such an experience produces by means of a “glocalization” that shapes the writer’s disaporic consciousness.
