IN HONOR OF HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE

APRIL 16, 7 P.M., EVERT B. PERSON THEATRE

"Quartet for the End of Time" by Olivier Messaien

Performed by Trio Ariadne with guest violinist Joe Edelberg

Composed while Olivier Messiaen (1908–1992) was held in a Nazi prison camp, the Quartet for the End of Time was premiered in January, 1941, under the most trying of circumstances: the temperature, inferior instruments, and the general conditions of life in a POW camp. Join Trio Ariadne, the 2013-14 Weill Hall Artists-in-Residence, and guest violinist Joe Edelberg, concertmaster of the Santa Rosa Symphony, as they talk about and perform this remarkable work in its entirety.

Free, tickets required. Click here or call (707) 664-4246 to reserve your spot. Seating is limited.

Parking ($5) is available in Lots E and F.
Presented by the School of Arts and Humanities
