Location: Galbreath Wildlands Preserve

Explore wild bee trees and hike at Galbreath Wildlands Preserve, a 90-minute drive from the main campus. Join us to learn about the comprehensive 7-year research endeavor initiated by Apis Arborea. Through this endeavor, they’ve witnessed wild honeybee trees' intrinsic preferences, their behaviors and their role as integral members of a diverse pollinator community. Michael Thiele, the founder and president of Apis Arborea, is offering a rare chance to join this field trip where you will explore wild bee trees, delve into intricacies of their project and engage in hands-on activities such as beelining. There is a $10 admission fee, see https://cei.sonoma.edu/Galbreath-bees for details.
