Arts & Humanities Advising Center
First Stop Advice for Arts & Humanities Majors and Interested Non-Majors
For students referred here by Arts & Humanities departments or who seek it out on their own, this “First Stop” Center will provide them with assistance and information about class offerings in the School, major and minor program requirements, course schedules, and SSU catalog information. While the Center is focused on Arts and Humanities programs, the staff will also explain to students about available academic information sources, including Degree Progress Reports and, when apt, refer students to other SSU resources. Students should expect from the helpful, welcoming Center staff useful information and assistance. If more specific academic advising is required by students, the staff will know to which faculty in Arts and Humanities departments those students should be referred, including information about faculty office hours and availability.
