Machine Learning for Local Groundwater Management: Local groundwater management requires annual reporting of changes in groundwater storage and levels in the Santa Rosa Plain, Sonoma Valley, and Petaluma Valley subbasins. Rather than using numerical models such as MODFLOW, which are time-consuming to update, I use machine learning methods to efficiently estimate groundwater levels throughout the subbasins. Open to all students, faculty, and community members.
