Rose

Rose

My name is Rose Mary Recinos, I am majoring in biology and this will be my third year here at SSU. I come from a city named Oakley, and found SSU to be my home away from home. The small campus size and classrooms have all helped me succeed academically. I have been able to get involved in different clubs and organizations and I am proud to say that I'm a member of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. Sonoma State University has so much to offer and I feel like this was the best choice for me.

Karol

Karol

Hello, my name is Karol Ramirez. I am a third year here at the Sonoma State University and I'm double majoring in Sociology and Spanish. I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Oxnard. I moved to St. Helena, VALLEY OF THE GRAPES! When I was seven and have lived there since. I decided to come to Sonoma State University because it is close to my house but its also far enough to feel like I live on my own and I love the beauty of the campus. I got involved on campus my first year working on campus and joining Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. I have had the best experiences of my life here and I have truly enjoyed college so far.

Amanda

Amanda

Hello! I am Amanda Dominguez, a third year Psychology major and Chicano Studies minor. Born and raised in Wilmington, Los Angeles County, I can attest that Sonoma can become the home of a big city girl. Who inevitably has come to love a small college community. Very few facts about my personal story would indicate that I would have selected Sonoma State, yet the small community and proud membership of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority has made the transition from academics to community that much easier. Enabling me to become a proactive member of many clubs and councils on campus, allowing me to speak first-hand about our campus culture.

Cameron

Cameron

My name is Cameron Boyle and this is my second year here at Sonoma State. I am originally from Redding California, and loved being so close to Shasta Lake. While at Sonoma, I am working to major in Business and minor in Economics. I am a member of a fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon here at the University and I feel it has allowed me to become better connected to the school. I feel the desire to tell you I am a fan of Jolly Ranchers and will accept them as a form of tip or thank you.

Jordon

Jordon

Hello my name is Jordon; I'm a senior here at Sonoma State University. My time as a Seawolve has been terrific. I am originally from Salinas, California. As an Accounting student, Sonoma State has provided me numerous academic and social opportunities. I chose Sonoma State because I enjoyed the people I encountered in the process of choosing a university. As a tour guide I Love to have a good time and show off our campus. I also enjoy long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners. I hope to give your tour as I look forward to meeting any future wolves of the Sea.

Judith

Judith

Hi! I'm Judith Arce aka Judi. I'm a third year majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice studies with a minor in Sociology. I am originally from Winters, Ca, a beautiful small town, which I miss occasionally. I love being here at Sonoma State University because everyone is very friendly, the campus is small and beautiful and the teachers are very resourceful. There are tons of ways to get involved on campus. As a Latina I decided to join Lambda Theta Nu Sorority Incorporated, which has really opened the doors into other leadership positions; including being a campus tour guide. I love my job because I have a lot of fun showing prospective students around our beautiful campus and I can't wait to show you around campus as well!
Luis

Luis

Hi, my name is Luis Valencia and I am a 4th year student, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Chicano and Latino Studies. I am originally from Oakland, CA. Coming to Sonoma State University has been a great experience: it is far enough away from home but not too far, I like how we are kind of in our own little world right here but anything and everything is around us. I have also gotten involved on campus being part of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. Throughout my years at SSU it has been a great place where I can relax, study, learn and live. We have really great dorms too, that's definitely a HUGE plus.
Emmanuel

Emmanuel

Hello, my name is Emmanuel "Manny" Rodriguez I am currently a third year here at Sonoma State University. I am a Criminal Justice major and Political Science minor. I am originally from San Diego, CA where I was the AVID Student of the Year in 2002/2003 in my county and was a student athlete throughout high school. I came to Sonoma State to get away from the Southern California lifestyle and culture and to experience a new life style where I would grow independently on my own terms. On campus I am involved in many things; I am a proud brother of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity Inc., a tour guide, and a peer advisor to first time freshman in the M.O.S.A.I.C living learning residential community.
Kastania

Kastania

Hi, my name is Kastania Corpuz. I am currently in my second year and my major is Communications. I am originally from Concord, CA and this is my first year as a tour guide! I chose Sonoma State University because I feel like it is my home away from home. The students and faculty are so welcoming at SSU, plus there are so many opportunities SSU has to offer. I joined a club on campus as well as a National Sorority, which helped me be involved on campus and become a leader. These opportunities have made my college experience the best it could possibly be. I hope you will find SSU to be as resourceful, opportunity filled, and fun as I do!
Kristy

Kristy

Hi, I am Kristy! I am originally from "The City", San Francisco. I am a Junior at Sonoma State University and majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Business. I chose to come to Sonoma State University because I enjoy the one-on-one attention I receive from my teachers and they really care about my success as not only their student, but as an individual. They like to get to know me as a person and I can always go and pop into their office just to say hi.
