We are happy to announce the 3rd Annual "First Day" on August 25, 2009 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. "First Day" was created to welcome all new students (freshman and transfer students) to the academic life at Sonoma State University. It is an opportunity for the students to receive an official welcome from University faculty, staff and students.

During this time students will engage in many activities to get to know others in their class and will also complete the CIRP Freshman Survey if they are not a transfer student. From there they will walk over to the gymnasium for New Student Convocation. We want to create a traditional welcome for our students that will mirror the graduation in Spring, thus creating bookends of their experience at SSU.
