CONTRACT AIRLINES AND AIRFARES - FY 2007/08

From the side bar, select from in-state fares, out-of-state fares, and international fares.

Contract airfares are for CSU employees on official University business only. Contract rates are valid July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. A current list of contract city-pairs and published YCAL fares is provided on the links listed above.

The State of California contract airfares are designated as YCAL, and should be referenced by that designation when travel arrangements are being made by state employees. Employees may purchase airline tickets directly from the contract airline or via one of the authorized travel agents listed below. The only acceptable method of payment is via American Express Government card clearly marked "Sonoma State University," and issued in the employee's name. Cash, personal checks, and personal credit cards are not approved methods of payment for State of California contract YCAL fares. Use of the State airline contract is not required if a substantially similar fare is obtained.

To book your YCAL flight, either call the airline directly, or contact a travel agency authorized to book YCAL fares:

You may view flight schedules on-line, but tickets must be purchased by telephone in order to obtain the YCAL rate.

YCAL fares are fully-refundable, unrestricted airfares that offer last seat availability.

VCAL fares are "capacity-controlled" meaning that airlines set aside a limited number of seats on each flight for the State of California. VCAL fares are typically available when a traveler is able to make travel arrangements early.
