Internship Description

Job Title: Sea Kayaking Intern

Compensation: paid
Amount/Type: stipend of $500/month.
Internship Length: Summer/Fall
Hours Per Week: 12 days/month

Population: Adolescents, Adults
Focus: Developmental Disabilities, Homeless, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Physical Disabilities
Setting: SF & Tomales bay

Duties: Lead 1-3 day kayak trips with special needs and disadvantaged youth. Facilitate group development, environmental education, and natural history. Aid with trip logistics, assist with administrative tasks, ensure trips are operated in a safe manner.

Qualifications: Have a desire to develop leadership skills, interest in working with special populations, enthusiasm for the outdoors, CPR and First Aid certified, previous sea kayaking experience preferred.
